A great activity for students to complete as revision at the end of a topic. Reinforces understanding of scientific vocabulary within the topic of Rocks and Minerals.
My students like to complete this task in small groups as a competition with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd finished. This activity could also be used as an informal assessment.
The idea of the activity is to match keywords with their definitions. The final product should be in the shape of a triangle. Answer key is provided.
An additional task could be to have students copy the keyterm and its matching definition into their Science book.
