I am working on a set of grade 1 books and am trying to come up with creative ways to represent place value and this is one of the ideas I can up with to support teaching students about 10 as a single unit (tens and ones)

SET 1- PAINT BRUSHES TEN FRAMES WITH THE FRAME IN TWO COLOR VARIATIONS: LIGHT AND DARK BROWN
2 sets of paint brushes ten frames that show quantities 0-10 inside a ten frame
SET 2- PAINT BRUSHES TEN FRAMES WITHOUT THE FRAME IN TWO COLOR VARIATIONS: LIGHT AND DARK BROWN
2 sets of GROUPED paint brushed from 1-10 that can be used on their own OR with the paint brushes that come in the jars (see preview)
SET 3- PAINT BRUSHES TALLY MARKS- TWO COLOR VARIATIONS
2 sets of paint brushes tally mark clipart showing numbers 1-10 as tally marks
SET 4-PAINT BRUSHES IN JARS- 7 COLORS AND 1 BLACK AND WHITE
7 complete sets of paint brushes that are in jars and grouped from 0 brushed in the jar to 10 brushes in the jar. There is also a black and white set from 0-10 as well
