This is a great card game for children who are learning English. I have used this many times in various primary-aged ESL classes and the children find it very engaging.
To use, simply print the ten A4 pages, laminate and cut out to produce fourty cards. In addition there are grayscale printable worksheets and a colour poster.
The information contained on the cards provides a visual way to teach the use of silent letters in commonly used words. Each card has a simple illustration that is recognisable to the children.
Children can use these cards together to test each other and write the words in sentences. They could be printed twice to use in card games such as 'Snap' or 'Pairs'.
