These are great references for students to use in any subject area throughout the day! The first two pages are bookmarks that can be printed double-sided, with accountable talk stems on the front, and features of accountable talk on the back. The stems are organized into seven categories (agreement, disagreement, clarification, confirmation, confusion, extension and review) to help guide students. The following seven pages are the categories with their stems, in poster form. I have used both as some students prefer to glance at anchor charts/posters for quick reference, while others like to have something in hand to reference. The bookmarks are great as a laminated tool that can be used over many years, given to each student (especially helpful for students on rotary), or even placed in the middle of a table group/center for students to reach for when needed.
