The Bumper Stumpers Game is a great way to activate your students before any lesson! No matter how long you play for, these puzzles get students paying attention, focused, and thinking about what they are doing.
If you are unfamiliar with the game show from the 80's, the idea is simple; students look at a license plate, are given a clue, then have to solve what the license plate is saying. For example, the license plate WLN4MD, which belongs to a smart person (this would be the clue), reads as "Well informed" for the answer.
