Brief Statement & Additional Information:
Nana Fran's Teaching Resources is a mother/daughter team. Mom is retired from active classroom work but writes teacher reources full time. Tracy is an active teacher in Saskatchewan and writes resources geared towards Special Education and the primary grades.
Our style of teaching follows the Balanced Literacy methodology. We believe in inquiry as a method of allowing students to take charge of their own learning. We follow the curriculum guides as mandated by the ministries of Education in all countries of the world. Our resources do not follow a specific textbook, and are created in the manner in which we would teach to the course outcomes without being tied to a specific resurce.
Evaluation and assessment is flexible. We do not rely solely on test results. Rather we look at assessment for, as and of learning to arrive at a conclusion as to whether the student has achieved the course objectives.
