The resource is for a three week period on the theme of Christmas when students are excited about the upcoming holiday. By using picture books and poetry, teachers can keep their interest and still address the outcomes of the curriculum. The Literature selections used in this unit are found on www.getepic.com, but are also tradebooks found in the school library. Teachers can also substitute other books and make adaptations to the lesson plans to match them.
