This resource can be used in a guided reading lesson or as an independent activity. It is a blackline master that requires the learners to use their predicting, prior knowledge and visual clues to fill it in. It is used before a book/text is read and can be used for any text. Within my classroom, I implement a balanced approach to reading by implementing Pearson's Gradual Release of Responsibility Model and use this resource with my students in all phases of the cycle every time a new text is introduced.
