Verbs: Verb action cards
These cards are great for teaching students the action verbs. There are 32 different actions verbs illustrated in a fun way.
Activities:
- Your students will have great fun acting the different action verbs. - You could print the verb cards twice to play card games.
- Students can reference the verb cards to write both simple and descriptive sentences utilising verbs.
- Use the verb cards to teach your students the different spelling rules associated with verbs and change the verbs to past and future tense.
Your students will ask to play and act out these verbs again and again.
Verbs illustrated in this pack include: sitting, standing, skipping, jumping, leaping, running, climbing, walking, spinning, dancing, clapping, thinking, crawling, sleeping, hugging, nodding, hopping, batting, waving, catching, writing, skating, reading, winking, eating, singing, kicking, tip-toeing, swimming, stomping, laughing and riding.
Also included is an action poster with 26 of the actions illustrated. I recommend that you print this poster A3 for best effect.
*Just added are some follow up worksheets that I have used with my EAL students (Year Level 1-4) to teach the actions and past tense verbs.
