Teaching Experience:
After having taught for five years at various schools, I am going back to relief teaching as I await the arrival of my first child in June. I spent three years working full time at a private school as a classroom teacher in Adelaide, Australia. I worked as a year 6 teacher for two years, and most recently as a year 3 teacher. This was by far my favourite year level! The previous two years I worked as an Australian History Teacher for Primary school students, 0.2 year 5/6 Class Teacher, 0.2 New Arrivals Teacher (Art), and part time relief teacher.
Brief Statement & Additional Information:
Prior to teaching, I worked in a bakery, in an OSHC / Vacation care centre, as a special education tutor, in a bookroom, teaching sport for 2-5 year olds; then to England to work as an aupair, regular babysitter, cleaner, waitress, library assistant, special education SSO; then back to Australia to work with children in state care, in the court system, and then as a teacher. As you can see, I love working with children!
I enjoy playing all sport but especially netball, being in the great outdoors hiking and camping, and reading and writing.
I aspire to become a published author, a school leader and an education consultant in the future.
