The Unsinkable Titanic reading activity has a guided reading questioning card for teachers. It includes great inference, prediction and evaluation questions. Students are able to evaluate their thoughts after reading about the international nautical safety changes that were implemented after the Titanic sunk. The Reading Activity also includes a 'connect your knowledge web.' Students are able to draw lines to each word on the web, and write how they are connected. This activity really cements students understanding of their knowledge and new vocabulary words. My students just loved this activity, using all their reading strategies to answer questions.
