This is a powerpoint presentation which explains some of the language associated with different graph types as well as the purpose and audience of different graphs. It could be downloaded onto indiviual devices for children to work through indpedently or used on IWB to promote discussions and discover prior knowledge of students for pre assessment or post assessment after a lesson/unit. This task encourages students to think as they compare and contrast different types of graphs. This task would last 2-3 lessons including time for sharing. This task would suit extension for Grade 4 but is directed at 5/6.
