The first step to become competent in mathematics is to develop the notion of counting and the awareness of numbers and their values. Students will learn adding by one digit - the important basics of addition and simple mathematics. The worksheet activities focus on four elementary counting principals:
* One to one principal - each number word matches one counted object (picture) * The order principal - the counted numbers appear always in the same fixed order * The cardinality principal - the last counting number word used represents the final amount of things (pictures) counted * The ascending principal - each subsequent counting number is increased by one
The workbook is compatible with the LUK system, however it may be used on its own. Recommended for students with Learning Difficulties. See more about LUK at LUKselfChecking_Programs.
