This package provides a WINTER LITERACY CENTER ACTIVITY SUITABLE FOR kindergarten to grade 1 students. This package offers a WORD FAMILY, build a snowman LITERACY center activity.

How to use:
Print, laminate and cut the strips and PICTURE cards. Students match the item on the snowball with the ENDING SOUNDS on the snowman's hat to build each snowman.
NOTE: THIS CENTRE IS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE ORAL PHONEMIC AWARENESS BY LISTENING TO THE ENDING SOUNDS IN WORDS. I HAVE PROVIDED A BLANK SNOWBALLS SHEET WHERE YOU CAN WRITE WORDS IF YOU WISH THE KIDS TO READ WORDS INSTEAD OF USING PICTURE WORDS-Print as many as you want and use a permanent marker to write your word family words.
***I have the exact same centre activity for beginning sounds- My students loved it so much that I created this for word families. I work in Dubai in an EFL environment and my kids have never seen snow and this fascinates them.***
