Position in Space
Position in Space perception is the ability to identify the position of any given visual stimulus in relation to oneself.
In the “Colour by Letter” worksheets, the student must analyze the position of all the letters that are a mirror image or a reflection of each other in relation to their own body, in order to discriminate between them. For example, “b/d”, “p/q” and “t/f”.
Figure Ground
Figure Ground perception is the ability to screen out any irrelevant visual material when presented with a lot of visual information at one time (to locate the important stimulus without getting confused by the background or surrounding images).
