In order to successfully scan for each number in the “Colour by Number” worksheets, the student must attend to one number at a time within the busy field of all the other surrounding numbers.
Visual Discrimination
Visual Discrimination is the ability to identify differences and similarities between two or more visual stimuli by analyzing their individual characteristics and distinctive features.
In the “Colour by Number” worksheets, the student must compare the features of similar looking numbers, for example, “6/9”, in order to distinguish between them.
