Spatial Relationships perception is the ability to identify the position of two or more visual stimuli in relation to oneself and/or in relation to each other.
In the “3 Letter Sequences” worksheets, the student must analyze how the letters relate to each other (analyze their position), in order to identify the same sequence. For example, “b”comes after “o”.
Visual Discrimination
Visual Discrimination is the ability to identify differences and similarities between two or more visual stimuli by analyzing their individual characteristics and distinctive features.
In the “3 Letter Sequences” worksheets, the student must identify which letters are the same as those in the sequence at the top of the page by distinguishing between any similar looking letters.
Figure Ground
Figure Ground perception is the ability to screen out any irrelevant visual material when presented with a lot of visual information at one time (to locate the important stimulus without getting confused by the background or surrounding images). This skill is key for good attention and concentration.
