In the “Added Word Memory” worksheets, the student must remember all the words on the first page so that they can identify the word that has been added on the second page from memory.
Divided into the following sections:

Visual Memory
Visual Memory is the ability to remember what is seen for immediate recall. It involves forming a mental image or picture of the characteristics of any given shape, object, symbol or word once the stimulus has been removed.
In the “Added Word Memory” worksheets, the student must form a mental image of all the words in each block on the first page. In so doing, the student will be able to recall the words when they are no longer visible, and identify the additional word in each block on the second page.
Figure Ground
Figure Ground perception is the ability to screen out any irrelevant visual material when presented with a lot of visual information at one time (to locate the important stimulus without getting confused by the background or surrounding images). This skill is key for good attention and concentration.
To form a mental image of each word on the first page in the “Added Word Memory” worksheets, the student must focus on one word at a time within the busy field of all the other words. On the second page, the student must pinpoint each of the words they recall seeing on the first page.
